Information on Admission to K1 Classes in the 2025/26 School Year

Collection of application Forms (No quota):

Distribution Period: 

  1. Date: Start from 01/08/2024
  2. Time: 9:00 a.m. to12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Mondays to Fridays) 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon(Saturday)

Return of Application Forms (No set quota for the kindergarten): 

  1. Return date: Start from 1/9/2024 (Friday)
  2. Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Mondays to Fridays) / 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (Saturday)
  3. Return method: Submit the application form in person [together with the documents required] 
  • A photocopy of your child’s birth certificate
  • A photocopy of your child’s Immunization Record card (both sides)
  • Two passport-size photographs (One photograph attached to the admission form
  • Four self-addressed long envelopes with the name of the applicant and each envelope  attached HK$2.2 stamped
  1. Application fee: HK$40 (to be collected together with the application form). The application fee is non-returnable whether the application is successful or not. 

Application for the 2025/26 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission：

  1. Starting from 2017/18, Education Bureau (EDB) will implement the Free Quality Kindergarten Education policy to replace the existing “Pre-primary Education Voucher Scheme”. Under the new Scheme, EDB will use the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” as the document for registration in the 2023/24 school year.
  2. Parents are required to submit an application for the “2025/26 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter referred as “2025/26RC”) to EDB from September to November 2024. The “2025/26RC” will be open for applications in September 2024 and EDB will announce and upload the details of application onto EDB’s website (Admission Arrangements for Nursery (K1) Classes in Kindergarten) in due course.
  3. Arrangement for admission application of Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Children
    ◼ When interviewing NCS children, interpretation and/or translation service for applicants will be provided where necessary; or parents and children are allowed to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/friend to facilitate communication.

Admission Criteria：

  1. Interview performance
  2. The applicant with sibling(s) currently studying in the school will be given due priority consideration.
  3. The applicant from families in need will be given due priority consideration when applying for whole day classes (As the number of school places is limited, please understand that not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place.)

Interview Arrangement：

  1. The school will arrange interview for all applicants.
  2. Interviews will be conducted on November. Parents will be notified by post.
  3. Group interviews / personal interview will be arranged.
  4. Children will be accompanied by parents and interview will be through conversations and games.
  5. The school can provide interpretation service for non-Chinese speaking children, please contact 2701 0939 (kindergarten) if needed.

Announcement of Admission Results：

K1 Admission results will be sent to parents by post before 13/12/2024.

PN Admission results will be sent to parents by post before 6/12/2024.

Registration arrangements：

  1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child from 3 to 5 January 2025(“Centralized Registration Dates”) by submitting the “RC” to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.
  2. Applicants on the waiting list: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the “RC” to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee. We will inform your result by mail.
  3. Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “RC” / “AP” during registration, the kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit application for the registration document to EDB within the specified period.
  4. The registration fee for 2025/26 K1 place are HK$970 (half-day) and HK$ 1570 (full-day) respectively. If the child continues their studies in the kindergarten, the registration fee paid will be refunded in September 2025. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the “RC” as soon as possible but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the “RC”, the kindergarten will no longer keep the school place for the child.

Eligibility:

  • Admission Requirement for K.3: Children who were born on 31 Dec, 2020 or before

Interview and Registration arrangements：

  • The kindergarten will notify the parents of the date and time of the interview by phone
  • If the child is admitted, the kindergarten will notify the parents by phone. Parents are required to go to the school on the designated date to complete the registration procedures, submit the original “Provisional Registration Letter” (PRL) and pay the registration fee.
  • The registration fee for 2025/26 K1 place are HK$970 (half-day) and HK$ 1570 (full-day) respectively. If the child continues their studies in the kindergarten, the registration fee paid will be refunded in September 2025. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the kindergarten in writing. The registration fee will not be refunded and the kindergarten will no longer keep the school place for the child.
